PDR technology allows for repairs of even small dents in bodywork (caused by, for instance, hail or hitting the car with the store trolley) with high specialist tools, often upon special order, with highest quality steel and with proper use of light. The dent cannot be deeper than 2mm and wider than 50mm, although even bigger dents, as big as the palm, cannot- by definition- be disqualified from repair using this methods. The only limitation is the access to the dent from the interior using proper tool. As a result, dents located close to the edges of the body panel are rarely suitable for PRD repairs, however PDR gluing can be of used in these circumstances.
